About

La Rousse, located in Seattle, is a chic botique salon with exceptionally-trained stylists with over 15 years of experience. We offer a fully customized experience for hair-care. Haircuts, color (anything from the neck up), styling, consultation on skin, body and self care.

Currently we are exclusively using Aveda™ hair-care and hair-color. We proudly retail Kari Gran® Skin-Care products as well as VOLUSPA air-care products.

Parking

We recommend the metered parking across the street (Mon-Sat from 9-4pm; otherwise it is free). *We recommend the PayByPhone® app (you will easily be able to extend your parking time from the comfort of La Rousse).

Once you get here

The building is locked for security after 5:00pm and on weekends. If the main doors are locked, please use the call box to the left of the glass doors. Search and ring La Rousse, when you hear the RED door (not the glass doors) click, pull on the red door to enter. The salon is located on the second floor. If you need Elevator / Handicap access, please let us know in advance so we can assist you.

Please note that, we do not accept walk-ins. Online booking is recommended.

COVID-19 Safety

To discover the best of La Rousse Boutique Salon we want to share some of the adjustments we have had to make to our salon operations.

This is out of an abundance of caution for our staff, our guests and our community. We have made many internal changes to our salon procedures, and we wanted to share the ones that will affect you at your visit.

We will be asking for a strict 48-hour cancellation. We often have a waiting list for most stylists. For us to accommodate all our guests, it may be difficult to get you back in for at least a month. Our stylists were unable to work for over 3 months, canceling last minute directly affects their compensation.

Please come alone to your appointment. We will not be able to accommodate extra family members, children or friends. If they come with you, they will need to wait outside.

Sadly, no handshakes, hugs or bisous for us currently!

All guests and staff are required to wear a mask that hooks behind the ears. We will do our best to apply your hair color without getting it on your mask. It would be best to use a disposable mask if you are concerned with hair color stains. If you do not have a mask, you may purchase a disposable one from us for $3 or a fashionable reusable cloth mask for $14.

When you arrive to the salon, please text the stylist you have an appointment with (#s will be sent to you in the confirmation of your scheduled appointment,) or check in from your Vagaro app before coming inside, we may have you wait outside or in the downstairs lobby if the space is not yet prepared for the next guest, you are welcome to come upstairs to use the restroom; we will text or call you back and come to open the doors for you (elevator if needed.) This will eliminate extra people in the salon at one time and allow us to clean the styling station. When you come in, we will ask that you use our sanitation station before you start a service with your stylist.

Please wear something that has a lower neckline. We will be using styling capes as usual (which are always washed after every use.)

We will not be offering beverage service at this time, please bring your own beverages with you. We do have bottles of Voss water available for $3 purchase. Champagne service will return ASAP! We would like to limit the amount of materials we touch and need to sanitize in our small kitchen.

If you are booked for a haircut (no color), and want to opt out of a shampoo, come with clean hair. Although many salons are not offering blow dry services, we Are! Our space allows for distance and there will be no more than 4 people (most often only 2) in the space at 1 time, all of which wearing masks.

Along with extra precautions, we will not be doing our added touch services (shoulder & hand massages, mini facials, hot towel treatments) for the time being. We are still including 1 scalp or hair treatment with every service (we know we need it!), additional are available with the regular charge of $30.

We will pull any home care products for you (if not in stock, we will special order and provide delivery/designate a time for you to pick up your goods.)

To shorten the amount of time you are spending in the building we will note your future appointment day and time preferences while you are with your stylist. We will book your next appointment that day. We have a COVID-Clean Checkout which allows you to pay from your own device.

Please know, how especially important providing excellent service is to us. Some of these new measures that we are taking are temporary until we can get back to the high standards that you have come to expect from us. We hope that will be sooner than later!

We sincerely appreciate your support of our small business. This situation has certainly brought on some challenges, but we are determined to rise to the occasion with a positive attitude and high level of professionalism. As these circumstances are ever changing, they will require our constant attention and reevaluation. We ask that you please be patient with us as we make the necessary adjustments.

Our sincerest apologies for delayed communication. We do not have a guest relations staff and there are many moving parts. We love you; we appreciate you and we know we will make it through this with a community effort of patience, empathy and beyond.

La Rousse was built to be a sanctuary for all people, their wellness, safety and transformation to what is our present and future. La Rousse is a peaceful space to be quiet, to yell, to cry, to create and inspire. La Rousse will never be anything other than that. That is a promise!

*** Please take your temperature before coming to your appointment and call or text to reschedule if you are having symptoms of Covid-19. We will assess the cancellation policy together with considerations of potential illness and infection. Our stylists will be doing the same.
